1. Install the licence (do not edit it)
You should receive qat_licence.json and qat_licence.sig. Install both files exactly as issued. If either file is altered, the licence is treated as immediately expired / void and QAT will block use until a valid pair is reinstalled.
2. Sign in on a shop PC
Open Quote Analysis Tool, sign in with the account created at handover, and confirm you land on the Dashboard with the sidebar visible. Learn Lock System and Report a problem early.
3. Set the site’s numbers
- Users and roles (who can quote, who is FC, who is MD).
- Labour rates and machine rates — FC owns day-to-day finance; money-setting changes wait in Financial Approval for MD/Developer.
- Materials, transport, profit targets, and PDF settings as agreed at go-live.
4. Build a practice quote
Open New Quote, add a part, attach materials/machines, and watch live totals. Save, then walk Quote History so everyone sees the same job.
5. Know the three approval paths
- Approve quote on the quote — business release to the customer.
- Quote Approval (Vault) — MD vault queue with Atlas; not the same as customer release.
- Financial Approval — MD/Dev accept or reject FC rate and money-setting changes only.
6. When something looks wrong
Use Report a problem in the app, or email support@nyx.uk via Request Support. Include where you were, what you expected, and what you saw.
